ORGANIZERS:

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), is holding a national photography competition to strengthen the awareness and mobilization of the business community towards green economy and green jobs, as well as promote the importance of public participation and effective environmental governance in combating the ill effects of climate change and environmental degradation. This initiative is in partnership with the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation, Inc (FPPFI), Inc and Global Competitiveness Training and Consultancy, Inc.

1st Place     PhP 10,000.00, Certificate of Recognition and
    a slot in the Eco-Business Tour on 28 August 2010
2nd Place     PhP 5,000.00, Certificate of Recognition and
    a slot in the Eco-Business Tour on 28 August 2010
3rd Place     PhP 3,000.00, Certificate of Recognition and
    a slot in the Eco-Business Tour on 28 August 2010
4th to 10th Place     Certificate of Recognition and
    a Consolation Prize
11th to 20th Place     Certificate of Recognition


All the Top 20 Photographs shall be showcased in a Photo Gallery which will become one of the major highlights of the PINES Exhibition.

ELIGIBILITY:

Open to all amateur and professional digital photographers who are Filipino citizens, age 14 and above (by August 15). For entrants below 18 years old, the attached parental consent form must be submitted together with the photo entry form.

GENERAL GUIDELINES:

  1. Photographs must only be in digital format (JPEG or JPG format), size 5MB or smaller and with at least 72dpi resolution, and to be submitted to PINES Secretariat either by email, CDs or memory card. The top 20 Finalists will be required to submit a high-resolution copy of their photos.

  2. Photographs must have been taken within two (2) years before the date of entry and have not won any photography award or have been published or exhibited (except online).

  3. Digital manipulation is allowed but only limited to global manipulation.

  4. If any persons appear as the subject in the photograph, the entrant is responsible for obtaining consents necessary to permit the exhibition and use of the photograph without additional compensation. If any person appearing in any photograph is a minor, the signature of a parent or legal guardian is required.

  5. Submitted Entry must be the entrant’s original work and does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity.
