The Philippines is gearing up for its 5th participation in the Japan Home Building Show (JHBS) now on its 31st edition.

JHBS is the ultimate all-professional building and construction materials event in East Asia attracting nearly 95,000 professional visitors and housing 600 trade exhibitors from all over the world. The trade show is an opportunity for Philippine manufacturers to access the East Asia and Japanese markets, being a platform for face-to-face interaction with potential buyers.
Despite the current crisis, Japan still has a steady stream of demand for construction and building materials especially those that are environmentally friendly. The Japanese home renovation market has been estimated to expand up to 33.9% by 2020 where old houses are restored to better conditions at half the time and cost.
Leading the participation is CITEM’s Industrial Goods and Services Division (IGSD). “We encourage our manufacturers to take advantage of the government’s efforts to help them ease the burden of the economic downturn, as this participation is highly subsidized,” says IGSD Division Chief Rowena Mendoza
Aside from participation in the 3-day event, IGSD has also arranged for a business mission in the Greater Tokyo area where participants will have pre-arranged meetings with big distributors and wholesalers of construction materials.
JHBS is slated on November 11-13 at Tokyo Big Sight East Hall. The business mission will follow on the November 15-16. Sign-up now! Slots are still open to interested participants.
