The China-ASEAN (CA) Expo is once again opening its doors to all international exhibitors in the South East Asian Region to be held in Nanning, China on 20-24 October 2009 with the theme on “Bonded Zones/Parks and Ports Cooperation.”
The Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry is inviting Filipino exporters to participate in the event with two theme pavilions: the Commodity Trade Pavilion and the National Pavilion. The Commodity Trade Pavilion highlights Filipino creativity, artistry, flavor, genuine craftsmanship through products and services and the National Pavilion showcases the richness of Philippine culture, tourism, education, and business/investment opportunities in the country through strong foreign relations and global competitiveness encapsulated by a featured Philippine City called City of Charm. The deadline for application is slated on July 17, 2009.
CA Expo on its 6th year continues to be China’s successful trade and investment fair since its installment as an annual event in 2004 by H.E. Wen Jiabao, the Premier of China. It aims to promote China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA) through sharing of opportunities for cooperation and development between China, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, and the Philippines.. Since then, over 10,000 buyers with a market of 1.9 billion Chinese consumers flock every CA Expo. Last year’s CA Expo generated $ 6.52 billion sales and $ 28.62 billion international investment cooperation projects. More than 119,000 Chinese traders visited the fair.
