

A celebration of DESIGN through programs that will foster creativity among Filipinos as well as through events scheduled around Manila FAME to strengthen the Philippines' position as Asia's Design Destination.
HISTORY:
On October 20, 2011, President Benigno S. Aquino III of the Republic of the Philippines signed Proclamation No. 277, declaring every third week of March and October of each year as Design Week Philippines to serve as a platform in strengthening and reinforcing the country's claim as Asia’s foremost design destination.
Led by the Department of Trade and Industry through the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) and the Product Development and Design Center of the Philippines (PDDCP), and co-organized by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Department of Tourism (DOT), and Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), Design Week Philippines holds activities that showcase various product innovations and Filipino craftsmanship, through trade exhibitions, festivals, workshops, conferences and fora.
